The Essence Of Being 'Royal'.

Being an unlucky student for not cracking any of the so-called entrance exams after class XII Boards, it would be an obvious choice of any student of our country to drop a year and have another go at those creepy entrances and qualify for it, hopefully. Coincidentally, if not rationally, I was one of them. But I didn't drop  a year. And this is due to the fact that I am not the hardworking kind of boy.

And then I landed in "The Royal Group of Institutions". It was not merely an accident. It was purely the choice factor that came into play. To most Guwahatians, RGI (as it is known in the campus lingo)  comes with a free syllable- A.C. I do not know about others, but whenever I presume to study in RGI, I am told by every other person I meet, that the institution has a central AC supply and, that even the washroom has a supply of it. Except the washroom part, the other rumors are true to the word. There is also a familiar word that the institution has a world-class infrastructure. Even thats true. But what people have not known through time is the very thing of this institution- the faculty and the teaching.

For all the non-Royalites, let me assure you that this institution has one of the best faculties in the entire North-Eastern region. This may sound over-exaggeration , but this is what I have found out over the past one year.
My friends at RGI will surely agree with me. The teachers, their way of teaching and their perception towards helping the students is a World-Class symbol of RGI. These lines may make me sound like a promoter or an advertiser of RGI. But no, I am just being a student of this world-class institution.But then who does anything for free.I do. And thats where being a Royalite starts from. From a beautiful campus to a world-class infrastructure to a group of excellent faculty,you name it, RGI has it.There is also this Annual College fest by the name of Consensio (and I quite like the name).And it comes with a theme, which merges with current scenario.Various events,participation of various colleges,beautiful girls and some stage performers,along with  beautiful and innovative stage decorations mark the core of the event.Outsiders too are allowed, but with the possesion of a 'pass',which means the outsider has to be a friend of a Royalite to get a glimpse of Consensio. Believe me,there is everything that you might find useful in your time at RGI during the course of your study.  And thats what an outsider must know of the institution in addition to  the AC thing. This would be possible only when we, the Royalites would appreciate the work of the members of RGI in taking it to another level, from where the top institutes of our country would be visible.
